Objective
Psychosocial training aimed at promoting the development and expansion of cognitive and emotional skills. Training efforts will focus on fostering psychological competencies such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and conscious intervention in the environment. Psychological first aid comprises a set of actions designed to reduce stress caused by a traumatic event. These efforts are based on dialogue and active listening. Their correct application psychologically prepares the affected person to face the crisis, express themselves assertively, regulate emotions appropriately, think rationally, and make decisions that ensure social, occupational, and personal functioning. In this sense, psychological first aid not only aids rehabilitation but also works to prevent psychological states, pathologies, and maladjustment.
ADDRESSED TO
Primarily to health professionals, doctors, psychologists, paramedics; firefighters, community leaders, teachers, security forces, volunteers, parents and anyone in general who is interested in the topic in order to provide initial support to those who may require it.
